All wood components can be stained, painted, or left natural. (this includes the posts, beams and decking). It is highly advisable that any parts that are exposed to the elements (posts, fascia) be finished with a stain, either by our factory or the customer, to keep them from turning gray. The Treated Pine components will not rot if left unfinished, but will turn gray over time. Components that will not be exposed can be left natural, and will also turn gray, but the process will take longer. If you like the natural look, a clear sealer can be used to protect the wood, without changing the color.
