No Deck
If attaching to a deck, concrete slab, or patio, you must make sure that the posts would rest on an adequate base to support that the weight of the gazebo. We make it easy to determine the location of the posts and to attach them to the base with our post template and custom brackets, which are supplied with all gazebos ordered without a floor system. Please be sure to discuss your own situation in detail with your Project Adviser before pouring any concrete or building your deck because it is important that the floor and the gazebo be compatible. (Do not assume the location of posts, they are shorter than the named size of the structure, and varies by model, shape and material) The first image to the left is an overview of what is sent with our No Floor Option.

Photo 1: The wooden template is laid out at the structure's proposed location. Simply match up the numbers on the template, and measure from corner to corner across the template to ensure that it's square. A rectangular template is shown, but this is the same way that an octagon, oval, or any other shapes are squared as well. Mark the locations of the holes in the template to show the mounting locations of the posts. (Some structures will have different templates than shown, see instructions.)

Photo 2 & 3: Simply attach our L brackets, either with lag bolts onto a wood deck, or concrete anchors (Wedge Bolt) onto a concrete base. The post will slide inside the brackets and be attached with the supplied screws. The design of the brackets allows for a finish trim to be added (wooden models) to hide the brackets.

Photo 4:Completed connection shown. Some structures will have 2 L brackets, others have 4. Engineering if applicable will determine how many L brackets are used. Engineering may also require a heavier duty bracket than shown, in some cases.
