Roof Pitch is a term that describes the slope of a roof:  rise / run

9/12 Roof pitch is an upgrade for our gable roofs. The roof rises 9" for every 12" of horizontal span, forming a 36.87° slope. This pitch will keep the roof clear of most debris, although minimal buildup may still occur. In areas that receive excessive snowfall (or leaf-fall) it is recommended and possibly required by local codes to select a steeper roof pitch such as 12/12.
