A Pergola can be as open or as private as the designer can imagine. If a little or a lot of privacy is desired the possibilities are nearly endless. We offer everything from privacy panels, walls, to railings—either solid or lattice. If you cannot find exactly what you are looking for a Project Adviser will work with you to make your dream a reality. Feel free to choose a different wall style for each wall!

The Half Wall for our pergolas is not really designed with privacy in mind, unless you are really short. It is more for a way to block people from walking in or out of the pergola on that side. If you do not want someone walking into a garden or a pool, but still want to see what is going on there—a half wall may be exactly what is needed.

The wall is made up of 1x6 tongue and groove material to match the same cedar, treated pine, or vinyl as the rest of the pergola. The wall measures 36" tall and is designed to sit on a level surface (patio, deck) - if your area is not flat and level, the wall can be raised up a few inches... In fact it can be attached at any height desired.

Unlike our 4-Beam option, our 2 Beam Pergolas give you the ability to move the posts a few inches when constructing them. If you order any of our privacy panels be sure to discuss in detail the size of the panels desired, and the planned location of posts, as they will be sent pre-assembled to standard dimensions unless specified otherwise. To accommodate all unique requests we offer the privacy panels in a knocked down version that will give the ability to cut and assemble them to fit.
