Posts for our pergolas are made of a high grade cedar, with minimal knots. The 6" x 6" Cedar Straight Posts measure just under 5 ?" square. We plane and sand each post, and also round the edges to reduce the chance of splintering. Left unfinished, the post may turn to an beautiful aged gray patina over time. Additionally, we offer an optional stain feature that can be applied to the pergola to keep your structure looking new for years to come. Be sure to ask your Project Advisor about all are stain options!

Customers who enjoy the elegance of a Victorian look, or those who simply desire a uniform look with something already existing; the 6x6 turned post is an easy and inexpensive way to add class and an artistic touch to a structure. This in no way affects the overall strength of the posts.
