If the stated length of your pergola is 16' or less, you will have 4 posts (2 posts on wall mount pergolas) and need not worry about the strength of your pergola. Pergolas that are over 16' long will need to have an additional post on each side. If you like the look of having more posts, even if it doesn't structurally require them, we can do that too.

If you absolutely cannot have that middle post on a longer pergola model, call our Project Advisors about a custom pergola that can incorporate a GlueLam header beam in place of the standard beams.
